Our story
Five years ago, Philippe, a clarinet teacher in the south of France, identified a recurring difficulty among his beginner students: accurately fitting the reed to the mouthpiece. Noting the frequent errors : badly positioned, bent or broken reeds. He came up with an innovative solution: combining the reed and ligature into a single element, thus simplifying assembly.
Project manager Bernard, a passionate amateur clarinettist and long-time musical partner, joined the project with the ambition of creating a ligature offering sound quality comparable to the best on the market.
A meeting with a design engineer and musician during a concert marked a decisive turning point. Together, they formed a complementary team, combining educational expertise, acoustic demands and technical know-how.
After five years of collaborative work, numerous prototypes, and a careful focus on acoustics, Easy Lig was born. This French innovation aims to transform the experience of clarinet players, from beginner to professional, by simplifying reed assembly while ensuring optimal sound quality.
